This is my new space. Having now bought an apartment in Canberra, Australia (read: I am now making payments to a bank instead of a landlord), I can finally act on some of my design ideas, for reals. The only problem is I don’t have the funds to splash on designer prices (see comment above re: bank). So I continue to scout through charity shops, garage sales and hardware stores for that authentic mid-century teak table, that rad lamp, and that perfect not-quite-black paint. By publishing space scout, I hope to give you some ideas on how to design a space while keeping your cash for Coronas on a beach.
